My second daughter has been a mover-and-a-shaker since birth. When she started walking, she simultaneously started jumping. The girl used jumping as her main mode of movement. Obviously this isn’t the fastest way to get from point A to point B, but its the most fun! You could always tell she was in a good mood when you saw her bouncing through the house. At four years old, I realized she was covered in muscle! She had ripped abs and her legs were really defined. She has been hopping, skipping and jumping her way through life and does it still even today at 6’3″.

There is something to be said for jumping instead of walking to retrieve your stuff in the next room – and that something is, “Wow!”. You get heart rate, calorie burn, muscle tone and mood boost all in one short trip to the living room. Naturally, adding jumps to a kickboxing routine will add more of all of those elements too – extra heart rate, extra calorie burn, extra muscle tone and an extra mood boost! Enjoy all the jumps along with all the punches and kicks in this fun kickboxing workout at home!

JUMP with me in this creative kickboxing workout at home! You’ll love each combination filled with punches, kicks & jumps! Every other section has a jump sequence in it. If you don’t feel ready for jumps yet, just squat instead. You’ll still get the great cardio workout you’re looking for. Make each move count using your energy to create power all the way through. There’s lots of review so if a section is particularly tricky, hang with me, you’ll get it. I promise. Your fave moves will be the Side Jab Jump, Double Step Roundhouse Kick and the 5 Punch Hitch Kick!

During the stretch, I share the following scripture. The phrase “author and finisher of (your) faith” has helped me through some tough spots in my life. 

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
