Does anyone else pretend they’re auditioning for “Thriller” every October? I can’t help myself every time that song comes on! This FUN dance cardio workout is a great blend of aerobic moves and “Thriller” dance moves. The choreography has progressed as I’ve taught this cardio dance routine over the past 9 years. Every year, I revisit my most recent workout notes and brush it up some more. Now I have a great routine that has 3 levels of difficulty. So you can build on it or just keep with the first level!
I remember the moment I learned that my birthday was on Halloween. It was right around the time that Michael Jackson’s music video for “THRILLER” came out actually, when I was four years old. When my older sisters told me my birth date, I didn’t believe them. It sounded too good to be true. After checking with my mom, I was ecstatic! And I’ve loved celebrating on Halloween! I feel a special connection to so may Halloween things and especially “THRILLER”! I love dancing, I love to moonwalk, and I love making up routines!
Get your zombie on for this one! This workout feels like you’re on the set of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video! That is what I picture every time on my last run through. I break down the routine in three levels of difficulty. You can do this fun at home cardio dance workout all the way through from start to finish … OR … you can rewind & repeat levels. Six times through the song will get you your 45+ min of cardio you need from an at home workout. Trust me, this gets challenging as we tap into more MJ moves. When you’re ready for it, do all 3 levels in the video with each level going twice. This workout is meant to challenge you and give you a great cardio dance workout at home! You’ll love the Zombie Lunge, Frankenstein and MJ Twist.
The beautiful message from this talk by President Russell M. Nelson at the end of the workout is so simple and powerful.
The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.
When. you feel yourself getting bitter or frustrated, take a step back and find out where you can choose differently. Maybe we can’t change our circumstances, but we can change our focus.
